Dislodged Temporary Crowns/Bridges

When temporary crowns/bridges are dislodged, we instruct clients to clean the crowns/bridges interior surface with a bobby pin and try to place it on the tooth. Once the fit is confirmed, remove it from the mouth, use cotton or gauze to dry it and also dry the tooth/teeth as best possible using gauze. Apply a small amount of toothpaste to the crowns/bridges underside to act as a temporary cement. Reinsert the crowns/bridges onto the tooth/teeth and bite on it with a cotton pellet for 10 minutes to observe its stability. Once practical and you are able to return to the office, kindly call us to schedule for either the permanent crowns/bridges bonding or to re-cement the temporary with more accuracy.
